    Roxette in Brisbane February 2012

    Category: Music

Live Nation is thrilled to announce that Roxette fans all over Australia can now join the joyride! Due to surging demand from fans across the nation, legendary pop duo Roxette will now extend their Australian visit and play shows across Australia plus a second show in Sydney next February.

Their Brisbane shows at the Entertainment Centre are on the 14th and the 24th of February 2012.
The Beachhouse Bed and Breakfast is located at Redcliffe just 15 minutes from the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. Stay with us after the show and drive home or to work the next day relaxed and tell everyone all about it!

Roxette have topped the charts three times in Australia with singles It Must Have Been Love, Joyride and The Look. Look Sharp went to number two on the Australian album charts in 1988. Joyride followed in 1991 also reaching number two. Roxette's next albums, Tourism and Crash! Boom! Bang!, both reached number 3 on the Australian album charts while their first greatest hits album Don't Bore Us, Get To The Chorus landed in the Australian top ten in 1995.

Roxette are one of the most successful bands to come out of Sweden, have had more number ones and top 10 hits in America than ABBA and have even featured on their very own Swedish postage stamp!

Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle who make up Roxette, came out of Sweden in the late '80s. Their game was pop and their mission was to conquer the world. With 33 chart-busting singles and total record sales of 75 million, it seems safe to say, "mission accomplished". Except for one thing - it ain't over yet! Biding their time during Marie Fredriksson's recovery from her brain tumour in 2002, the band has gradually staged a comeback that has climaxed with the release of their new album Charm School and their current world tour. After an extremely successful start in Russia, Roxette went on to sell out concerts throughout Europe, South America and South Africa over the last year with more than one million tickets sold at 70 concerts. After such an overwhelming response in the rest of the world, Roxette have decided to extend the tour to include some very special shows in Australia and New Zealand.
"The concerts have been amazing so far," says Per Gessle. "Marie and the band are in top shape and the response has been incredible. And the way the new album has been received is great. We feel very fortunate and look forward to a very exciting year!"

With a catalogue of mega hits including It Must Have Been Love, Joyride, Listen To Your Heart, How Do You Do, Sleeping In My Car, Dressed For Success and The Look, this tour is set to be one of THE live events of the 2012 calendar.

Joining Roxette for these special Australian shows are 1927. Their 1989 album Ish is one of the highest selling debut albums by an Australian band. 1927's hit singles If I Could, That's When I Think of You, You'll Never Know and Compulsory Hero still remain radio favourites more than 20 years after their release.

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill tour Australia March 2012

    Category: Music

Country music's reigning king and queen, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill will tour Australia for the first time together next March.

The Tim McGraw & Faith Hill / Australia 2012 tour will be the first time the country music superstars have toured together outside of North America, will be Hill's first time touring Australia and will include them performing separately and together.

It will feature their massive hits including McGraw's Live Like You Were Dying, Everywhere, Real Good Man and Hill's Breathe, This Kiss and The Way You Love Me, as well as duets It's Your Love, Let's Make Love and I Need You.

The six-concert tour will play a night in each Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney, and two nights in Brisbane the 23rd and 24th of March, 2012 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
Stay at the Beachhouse Bed and Breakfast in Redcliffe, just 15 minutes from the Entertainment Centre and really make a night of it!

Tim McGraw & Faith Hill / Australia 2012 will mark almost five years since the power couple last toured together and will be only the fourth time they have ever done it first in 2000, then 2006 and 2007.

The 2006/2007 tours made theirs the highest-grossing country music tour of all time, and the highest-grossing that year, full stop, beating out the likes of Madonna, Tom Petty and Crosby, Stills & Nash.

Hill, a multi-platinum crossover artist whose hits This Kiss and The Way You Love Me are recurrent playlist favourites on Australian radio, has performed at the famed Super Bowl twice, The Academy Awards and The Grammy Awards. She has graced the covers of, amongst other publications, People Magazine, Marie Claire and In Style.

McGraw returns to Australia following his Southern Voice tour in 2010. McGraw's Brisbane Entertainment Centre concert sold out within fifteen minutes, shows in Sydney and Melbourne followed suit, and promoters added a second Brisbane and an outdoor show in Townsville.

Of any musical genre, McGraw was USA radio's most played artist of the past decade, receiving 7.8 million spins. McGraw is a musician and an actor with roles in Flicka (2006), The Blind Side (2009) and Country Strong (2010) alongside Gwyneth Paltrow.

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are autonomously amazing, but together they're a partnership powerhouse, particularly when it comes to touring.

Don't miss Tim McGraw and Faith Hill touring together for the first time in Australia.

Romeo & Juliet: The Australian Ballet in Brisbane from 23 March 2012

    Category: Performing Arts

Graeme Murphy is famous for bringing new life to classic ballets, and now he's tackled the greatest love story ever told: Romeo & Juliet. Traversing time and place, Murphy's ballet follows "a feisty girl and a feisty boy who are willing to take a stand for their love". Young passion smoulders at its core, but Murphy also tackles the consequences of greed and war, and asks what happens to humanity when love dies. This grand story is also grandly designed, with costumes by Australian fashion luminary Akira Isogawa and some of The Australian Ballet's most ambitious sets to date. The result is a masterpiece from first blush to final devastation.

Romeo & Juliet is playing at the Lyric Theatre in Brisbane's South Bank from 23rd - 28th March 2012. Why not make a night of it and enjoy a comfortable stay nearby at the Beachhouse Bed and Breakfast!
